WANTED - Spring
« on: May 09, 2013, 03:29:17 PM »
I am restoring an Auto Sleeper 1972 Bedford and I'm looking for the left hand spring that helps raise the roof. At somestage of its life, the wood has rotted and the spring and its mountings have fallen off the vehicle. Now the timber is replaced and I can remake the mountings but I need the spring. Perhaps someone is wrecking one and has this part available.

Thanks in advance.

Dallas

No but can do. Can describe it pretty well though.

Coil of the spring is about 40mm diameter, 6mm thick and about 250mm long. The ends of the springs; one is straight and about 200mm long. The other is about 250mm long with a kink in it.

Have to dig out the right hand one and take a photo of it and post it.
