202 engine position
« on: February 11, 2013, 09:55:53 AM »
hi peoples....i'm just about to measure up my tailshaft to be cut and balanced, but before i do that i realised that i didnt take note of what position(height)the engine should be.i moved it around alot getting my 5speed in position.i measured from the top of the rocker cover to the floor of van is 17.5cm(right where the bell housing is)i think thats a bit high....
anyone got any ideas?
cheers alice.

the engine position shouldn't change, unless you moved the engine mounts
I assume it's toyota 5 speed
I have put celica boxes in Toranas and the diff between Aussie 4/3 speed and toyota tail shaft length is about 30mm
so would expect Bedford shaft to need shortenning the same
can check if it helps
