Hi all, I just have a question about reverse lights in beddy's, if you need them for a RWC and if so what would be the best way to go about installing the lights and wiring, any advice wil help ;) thanks.

You could wire into your indicators (flashing orange lights) or mount a spot white on the back (white) and wire to your gearstick.

On my custom van I am using a spot light with a toyota headlight motor it hide it when not in use, when you put it in reverse the spot light pops down and on, off and up when not in reverse - pros: is hidden out of the way. cons: more things to go wrong
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Hey man there should be a reverse switch on your manual gear box or for auto it will be part of the shifter which will switch to open when you engage reverse. So i would say run power from ignition to there then to either spot lights or the bedford indicators usually have a 2 way globe in them i think so one for indicator one for reverse.  ive been through 2 road worthys without having them.. but one man could refuse to pass it without it.. who knows..
 Cheers

G'day

For a really neat reversing light that reasonably matches a Bedford tail light, check out the Rinder models # 589 and # 864:

It can be bought with (589), or without (864), a mounting bracket that has to be removed, and then it can be flush mounted. They look good and work well. A tip is to use 32cp light bulbs as they are a bit brighter than the common 21w bulbs.

The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!
