Rubbers Rubbers Rubbers.... and a Pop-Top???
« on: November 03, 2012, 06:27:34 PM »
Afternoon all...

I've still got a fair way to go with Bessie before the powers that be let her on the road,  :-[. But I need to start looking for a couple of bits....

1) I'm after a new windscreen rubber- ebay says $100 inc shipping from UK, but has anyone sourced one here? I guess O'brien glass, or any others??

2) I remember someone on here talking about the rubber for their barn door windows, but I'm fooked if I can remember (or be arsed) to find the post! As I recollect, the company the person on here used just measured it up to order, but I can't remember the place they used.... Any help? Even Clarke Rubber?? I vaguely remember I've got to head there for the door rubbers, but cut and glue myself.

And on a slightly different note, my LWB camper has a bloody great big fiberglass dome permanent in the roof, and I'd like to remove it and, to some people controversially,  put in a proper Pop-top. I know some folk have removed them to put a solid roof in, anybody still got it lying around?? Or will Ben help me out with a new roof, but with a longer "skirt" around the edge??

Any help appreciated,

Alan.

P.s. I'm in Melbourne!

I got my rubbers from rare spares with no problem.

I didnt find them to be too expensive, it was a while ago now so i cant remember pricing - the rubbers for you barn door windows can be purchased through Clark rubber - they are pretty generic.
