LJ Booster..Ford Master. Conversion
« on: March 16, 2012, 03:36:15 PM »
Well.just thought i would start a thread for those who are thinking of this brake option....

Got a 2nd hand booster after a few months of shopping around n missing out on a few on ebay...

Found one and had it reconditioned $300 delivered to my door..Milton Performance in Brisbane..

XB Ford Booster...elongated the holes with a file so to fit LJ booster....

Once we tried to assemble it..realised the Plunger from the boooster is way tooo long ...

So back to Brake shop HBR in Lismore..they customised the plunger..cut it down..n rethreaded it to suit Ford booster more $$$...Smicko..works perfect now

Now to get new Brake pipes made up ..keeping it local...Mullumbimby Brakes...

Pics to come soon... 8)

got my xb master a few months ago but was having no luck with the booster
just got one on trademe for $40 ... hoping its the right one ( still to arrive )

all the other post i read it sounded as if it all just bolted together ..
as in no mods needed apart from the mounting holes how
how much did it need to be shortened ?

Brake place

..shortened it  bout 25mm

...drilled out the centre

..re threaded it and set it up with the Ford  Master... so the plunge depth was to spec..or working order...all good now

every one else seemed to say bolt together..but hey it IS a Bedford..Haha ;D
