Also has the cert, and loom all wired up to Bedford loom etc, mounts made, have to let him know by tomorrow, has now offered $4200

Ok told him no, he then offered $4500.00, I said no because he was going to scrap it, the body is to good for that.

A mate of mine sold his SWB fitted with an LD28 diesel and auto box a few years back. The money changed hands and the buyer asks my mate to drive the van up his driveway to the roadside. Sitting there is a HIAB and my mate watches while the new owner takes a steel bar to the side windows, slings through a chain and lifts the Beddie onto the back of the truck. Turns out they only wanted it for motor. He said he was too shocked to do anything. He still talks about how gutted he was at the time.

it doesn't make economic sense ,he's offering $4200 ,you've spent more than that in time & money on her and it would be like letting them pull one of your kids apart i reckon !!! :( :( :o :o ive been building mine for over 7 years now and i have contemplated selling on several occasions but on reflection I don't drink (much) smoke ,gamble or chase dirty women so i figure this vice is pretty mild in the sceme of things .In the end it doesn't matter if you only do an hour a week on her its all progress (surely your beautiful wife couldn't begrudge you that hey?? ;) ;) :)  anyway you'll spend the rest of your life regretting it 'trust me i've been there    Cheers Neil

What Merlin said Bas! Look at mine. 22 years and I'm still plodding along.  ;D

Hmmm, actually now I think about it maybe don't look at mine. That probably wasn't the best example.  :P
