Goodo! I've only kept the six and keep upgrading components (as I learn) because I like having room for a clutch pedal for a manual.
If it did have the room for both a V8 and clutch pedal, it would've been in years ago.

Some recipes for combo matching holden six parts:
http://oldjohnno.id.au/page41.html
1976 SWB CF, 186 block, LPG customised VK EFI self ported Head, LPG converted Ram tube manifold, Extractors, Supra 5 speed, Falcon hwy Diff, HQ Disc brakes, Commodore 3 core cross-flow radiator, HEI, 90 litre LPG.
It can drive up a wall in 5th gear and across the Sun without overheating!

V8 with a clutch?   ... hey Rothu I got a 253 & 4 speed ozzie box AND plenty enough room for the clutch pedal to operate .... I think it depends greatly on the size of the engine cover although I have had vans with chevs and no left foot room at all .... hmmm, maybe I got lucky  :P
ekm ...... never lead with your chin, let others lead with theirs
