Yep as scott said we're all ok, just shaken and stirred, much damage to house and property, bit of damage to vehicles again, house trashed inside lots of broken glass. But at least we are all alive and breathing, and there are many more in our city a lot worse off than us. Will be a long road to rebuilding but we will all get there. Adrian wish I'd known you were here on boxing day would've been cool to meet up, maybe next time ehh?

Thank you all for you kind wishes.

Cheers Jeff

Kia Ora buga crew, thank you sincerley for your comments. I have accepted that I will not be in the first contingent from Melbourne to ChCh, maybe it was for the better, I will be on the second contingent should the need arise. My family and I appreciate your prayers and thoughts. I have good news the brothers have been found !!! they were in the city centre when the quake struck and although battered and brusied themselves spent the day and long into the night pulling others from the rubble, they couldn't ring or let anyone know at their homes so spent the night helping where they could, cthe second day they stayed on in town pulling rubble out from buildings looking for people, today I heard they finally walked home and have set up an open house for neighbours, still no water, no sewer, no power but strong in spirit. They are not going to hospital as it will drain the resources. A huge burden has been lifted from our shoulders, our thoughts are still with the many who are yet to find their loved ones. The maori boy that was on tv lifting the large concrete blocks off the car and pulling out the girl was my cuzzie, my spirit is lifted but our thoughts are with those less fortunate than us. I hope to get called up to get across to help. kia kaha te whanau and prayers for those still waiting
ekm ...... never lead with your chin, let others lead with theirs
