nice one Benny, looks allright + it's from a welding suppliers so should b ok,

what size is ur plasma cutta and is it a combo machine eg tig arc etc, are you happy with it? or would you get the next size up?

Not sure about the spot welder, every one I've used needed the two bits on the bit being joined

those rods in the picture are carbon rods, they can also be used for shrinking panel steel, all you need is a battery, jumper leads and a damp rag.

hey dano im real hapy with my plasma cutter after i sent it back twice. ive cut 18mm steel with it.

the pilot arc work ok but its no good over bog unfortunatly..



i sent previous buyers messages about the spot welder and they say

buyer 1.
Works well if you don't go over 1mm Mild Steel. Works great on 0.8mm

Haven't got round to using yet.

Waiting on word back from insurance company to see whether they'll pay for the damage or not.

Is essentially a copper coated carbon rod which locally heats at the tip, then you manually break the arc. Should do the trick, but wouldn't be as good as a dedicated spot welder.

For joining two sheets, I'd recommend clamping first.

For the price, and for fixing the occasional body panel, it should suffice.

It does work but doesnt have adjustable current setting so if welding thin material it will blow thru very easily. Also material needs to be clean otherwise will not make contact even to the extent that if welding galvanised sheet the galvanising needs to be ground off where the weld is to be made.It is a cheap unit but does work.

It's ok, it's not the best but it will get the job done after modifying the tips abit and a lil practice, the handles were crap, kept coming of and going loose, if u r using it for automotive use it's a lil heave and you might have to make new tips to get into different places.
