I have a V8 landcruiser, and yep it has been in the $1000 or more mark now for the last 3yrs. Mind you it did only go up $6 this year, now you know why i went for a V6 when i was deciding on a power source for my bedford, $700 odd for a V6 is dear enough. I remember when i moved up here 20yrs ago, rego was about $400 for a v8, $120,000 for a good house and 60cents a litre for fuel, mmmm, now we are the dearest state for everything. If these morons keep going there will be a mass exitdess from qld.

Mine is only a 202 6cylinder, bedfordcrazy are you only paying $700??? Last year I rang up the hob knobs at the rego office and they assured me I was paying the only amount that could be charged acording to carrying weight ect ect.. I reckon I'm getting shafted..

We're in Perth and paid $517 earlier this year - about the same as the V6 Vienta daily driver

V8 = $1,100 rounding up
  6 = $700 odd cents
  4 = $500 rounding up

When i say $700 it could be 776, i dont know the exact dollar amounts, just that they are in these brackets. My wife paid about $460 odd i think for her ford courier. As for why, well it is easy, this government has bankrupted the state with the squandering of taxpayer money, so they need to sell or up the cost to line their coffers, and thats a fact. Up here if they dont wake up, in 5yrs from now qld will be unliveable, you will need a polloticians wage just to live, sad fact, my next light bill will be in the area of a $1000 a quarter, there is no justification for that, love or loave joe, he would never of allowed the power industry to end up like it has. As for how much my rego for the beddy is, i will wait till i am ready then find out, it is climbing every year, and will change between now and when i register it.

Over here we have one set price for car/van but it can cost more if the van is registered as a delivery van, registerd as a passenger van is cheapest.
A motorbike costs more than a car/van to register
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"
