Hey rogue, mate i love the mirrors, and your right, the mirrors need to blend with the rest of the body, and be practical, are they power mirrors or just manual ?   I figure you have already worked out what your doing with the bonnet, here are a couple of ideas :  ;) You could use it as a tool box, and storage - or you could stick a mattress in there and create a bed  for the kids.  ;D ;D D do you have any pics of the van b4 you wrecked it.

No, there's actually no bonnet. I've got a mid-mounted engine so at the time we decided that we could get away without one. I've now decided that that probably wasn't such a good idea so I have some plans to rectify that.
What and opportunity for a novel under bonnet esky 8) ;D :D

Believe it or not, by the time I'm finished there won't really be that much room for anything. The pressurised water bottle for the engine coolant has to go under there as well as 2 sets of air horns and their associated compressors. Then there's the engine bay fuse box and the radiator with the shroud takes up quite a bit of space as well.

My scanner here at home has sucked it so I'll have to use the scanner at work to scan the photos of when I wrecked the van. I'll post them in my personal thread once I'm done them but it'll probably be a few days as the lurg is now upon me so I think there'll be a few sick days next week.

Sooooo, I had about 5 minutes to play with my new monsoon shield yesterday - After spending all sat and most of sunday acquiring my new beddy, moving the camper out of the way and tending to the black one (phew)...Will post up pics soon of it all  ;D

I held it up against the outside of the driver window and tried it on for size. looks good. What I couldn't figure out was, does it actually go into the window recess? or do they sit out over the recess and clip on that way..Probly just not enough time for me to properly play with it I guess. . . . .
Have a listen to some of my music:

If it's a similar fit to mine I think you'll find it sits on the outside. Some of the clips are quite long.

Hey Bas, I assume by 'West Coast' you mean the truck style mirrors? I used to have both fitted without any dramas. I was able to see the mirrors quite clearly through the monsoon shield.

Yea, Westcoasters, I think they got them name from the Truck drivers, with that kind of bracket / bar set up they would fit, but today the new Westcoasters are SH....t chrome and paint and rust within a couple of weeks are are a little bulky for todays custom modifications. Bas
