turn signal switch?
« on: July 06, 2010, 03:57:24 AM »
Anyone have one laying around? I haven't been able to find one and I can't finish my van without it.

I recently seen one on ebay but the plug was slightly different from mine, could there be some diference between cf1 and cf2?

At this moment I dont really care if I have to cut and weld the wires, the problem is that the contacts on the switch are worn out and it doesnt make contact.  :-[

Here's mine. As you can see the wires have been hacked in the past to place a toggle switch on the dash board.
I don't want to resort to that...  :-\

Here's the one that sold on ebay recently, it was even a NOS item...
See the black plug is a different shape from my white plug?  :-[ And the wires seem shorter also...

If you can only get the one in the bottom picture then all you have to do is cut the plug off yours and solder it onto the new one. The wire colours are all the same its only the plugs that are different.

Cheers Jeff
Just customize it!

So I was trying to fix it and the hacked wire was for an alternative horn that would be switch with the original through a toggle switch on the dash.

And then I found that the 4 way hazard switch was broken at the back and made bad contact so that's why It wasn't working. And then I switched the side indicator relay so everything is working now but I will still try and find a replacement.
