The shocking truth about roadworthies
« on: May 28, 2010, 01:53:26 PM »
not as dramatic as the title might suggest.
For my RWC I need to change shock bushes (read shocks), the steering coupling and hide a little (very little) bit of rust.

So... what is a good shock for the lwb (single wheel) beddie (max load maybe 400kg)?
Where can I get the steering coupling?

So close I can smell it.

derek

its a round one.
I rang another store near me and he had one on the shelf. I got ho=im to look and measure it and it is round and about 10mm thick. that is the same as the one on the car right now (lwb).

I'll pick it up in the morning along with the shocks, unless someone can recommend a more suitable shocker for the beddie (single wheel LWB).

cheers
derek

hey Derek, i was hoping you'd say a square coupling, but i was pretty sure you were talking about the round one.
The pedders shocks aren't bad units for fairly standard type items. I've never used them on a bedford, but the product will be the same across all models.
Unless you're looking at spending big dollars on big name shocks, pedders are quite good.
