just had to post a pic of my new carb i imported from the u.s.  this carb has been blueprinted and flow tested by dynathrust who are in conjunction with edelbrock carburators they claim improvements of 8-18% more horsepower and up to 31% milage increase, its a 600 cfm carb more suited for the 350 chev and up but will try on the 283, they rate the primary at 281cfm, secondary at 408cfm, total WOT airflow rating 689 cfm big claims? we shell see, if its no good will go back to the 500cfm and chuck the 600 on my 350 im building up cheers stevo 8)

Hey Stevo,

That looks pretty cool. Keep us posted on how you get on with it. I'll be interested to see the results as it would be a good replacement for my 600 Holley if it does what it says. What sort of cost did it run up? And what manifold is it on? I have a edelbrock performer manifold on my 350 so could work well.

Cheers,
Garry.

hi ya garry it owes me five hundy nzd only cos the dollar is week, i think i paid about 281usd plus shipping and exchange rate,  i got a 2701 manifold wich is the next step up from the 2101 wich is the stock eqivalant in alloy, the 2701 has a better torque curve on the 350 than the 2101  , if you go to the edelbrock website and look up manifolds it has a graph comparing the two, the 600 carb wich is a 1406 electric choke is a perfact match for the 2701 manifold check it out     cheers stevo 8)

Hey Stevo,

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. That price doesn't sound too bad. You'd pay that for a Holley anyway.
Hope to catch up sometime. Keep us posted on the install.

Cheers,
Garry.
