melbourne club runs
« on: July 17, 2010, 02:19:08 PM »
Hi,
Just wondering when club runs are in Melbourne.
Near my workshop in collingwood there is a hot rod dude called 'rancho deluxe' and he opens up every saturday morning with his coffee machine on.
I know the VW club meet there every month before their run and it is perfect because it is in the back streets and they can all park outside and mooch about.

Just a thought for a central starting point for any runs. I wouldn't mind catching up with some melbournian Bedheads.

we had a run fairly recently? maybe 3 months ago? its sort of just when someone organises a get together at the moment. so so far weve had 2 that ive been to and they have been a year apart..

and there was only 1 van the same at both i think.. and it had an engine transplant also in that time:)

maybe you could be the next one to organise something delrazor:)

Sure. I'll just grow accustomed to this second baby thing, then I'll try and get a saturday off to meet at the rod joint.

I am used to vintage scooter club stuff so I am not used to having space. It just dawned on me that ...

1) If a club function ended with a few drinks, all members have their own personal accommodation to snooze in. Unlike scooters.

2) you can bring your surplus parts for swap or sale.

3) everyone doesn't have to stay home if the weather is dodgy.

derek

Happy for a meet whenever. Last meet was great fun! We met @ Bedford Park and cruised down Bedford road, then up to Warrendyte for a bbq.
Have a listen to some of my music:
