I remember on OLD BUGA there was a discussion about high fuel prices and how fitting an
electric Bedford would be... Well low and behold - it has been done!!!

Check out this link: http://www.looneyland.freeserve.co.uk/bedford.htm

G'day

Even the Queens bloke, Phil,  used to drive one.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

I wonder how many hours they got out of 1 charge?
How long do you reckon it would take to fully charge all of those batteries???
They must have weighed 5-6 hundred kilos...

it wold be good to see it done with updated tecnology . lithum ion batterys and a regenerative motor would make a big improvement in range solar panel on the roof and if you drove it once a week like i do it would be free !!  ;D unfortunatly the batterys cost to much   >:(
classic not plastic . in my case bog and fiberglass
