welcome monkyman, there is so much info/help on here ,you will benifit so much just by checking out the forum/topics you desire, everything is in there, beddies are resonably easy to work on IF YOU KNOW HOW , which is why we're here.....

check ur potential van for a good body as poss(gutters mainly, inside and out), disc brake front end , stud pattern same front and rear, take a jack and check each side(front end) for any serious wear. other than that you might be looking at a virgin van which can also be a good thing.(depends what you want) if its a good deal go for it , if it dont work sell it? havea beer , get another one... beer or beddie  ;)....dan

Another query about the beddy for you folks:

I mentioned that I was going to buy one and was told by a friend that the bodies are weak and suspension is unreliable. Could anyone tell me things I should look for when buying and what the negatives would be overall?
Can I go play now...?
