6 wheeler 7 mtr camper in AK
« on: May 24, 2009, 06:44:33 PM »
Hi team

Any of you kiwi's seen the 7 meter six wheel camper, thats on TM at the mo, anyone know it's history.
I went and had a look at it today, I was seriously hoping it wasnt too far gone, but alas some fool as Mr T would say, has gone and left it in the rain and like the cake in Mc Carthers park, its melting away.

Its been parked outside for a long time with holes cut in the roof and at some point the underside would indicate it's been a planter with weeds growing knee high through it.

It would have made a great custom project camper if caught a little sooner, it has an LD28 nissan diesel engine and 5 speed box, a lazy rear axle and all this is certified, the cert plate NOT stored on the vehicle was given to me to inspect, the rego is on hold.

Im so tempted, but it would be a mamoth effort to resurect it.
It was supposedly built by some NZHRA members back in the early 90's, as a camper the last elec cert it had was 94, somaybe thats a clue.
If id just won loto I might have said yes, just for the hell of it and it would be Hell, but then if id won I would likley be out buying up a few other toys for the garage as well, there is a list, as im sure many of you have one of your own.
Anyway any feed back would be interesting.

Cheers
Rusty

From a previous post, my advice on women:

Quote
-It's a lot easier to say sorry than please.

-Women are everywhere, Bedfords aren't.

-If your woman starts to give you to too much grief about your Bedford habits, just remind her that her sister/brother/mother/best friend is still better in bed.

-If you have managed to wake up without a knife in your back, get up and have another go.

Regards
