Hi there oh mighty bedford community, I have removed my diff and tried to work out the ratio, borg warner , when I checked the rotation of the wheels to the tail shaft flange I roughly 2.2 to 1 is this then a very low ratio diff  can someone please let me know if this is correct . thank you in advance

If you only rotated the wheel once....no..... Rotate it TWICE (once for each sides wheel rotation) to get a 4.4:1 (or 4.454:1, which was an option)

Hope this helps...

Hi Russell
thanks Russell so in the greater scheme is this diff going to rev the engine higher. or will it keep the rpm lower at 100 kph on the highway,
cheers Paulo

the lower the numeric ratio, the lower the revs for any given speed.
Have a play with http://www.apexgarage.com/tech/gear_ratios.shtml to get some answers....

I am not endorsing this page (etc etc), just a random google find!
