Thanks for the info guys, maybe I will just see how Mike goes with his......if I have to go to an auto I will just leave it as a 202 and 5speed.
Cheers Wayne.

Hi Guys been ages since I posted in here, but have been watching and reading getting info as per usual. After years of no action. I'm thinking of making a start on my CF SWB 76' resto! I have acquired a red 253 and also have a celica steel case 5 speed that I was hoping to fit into the old girl in place of the red 202 and aussie 4 speed. Has anyone done the V8 with manual tranny or is space for clutch pedal too much of a pain to do V8 with manual???
I'm also possibly interested in just letting the van go if this conversion is just too hard as I don't want an auto in it. It's in pretty good nick with a lot of spares and a spare black 202. Just thinking of clearing shed space for other projects if my idea is too hard.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys........Been ages since I've posted.......seems like the site dropped off the map for a while but so so so so glad it's back online. Felt like I lost an old friend that's just called to get back in touch. Anyway enough of the banter! to my question. I have got a HQ diff and front end and was wondering what wheels will fit the CF SWB van I have? The reason I ask is I have tried fitting 7" wide holden rims to the back end but the rear offset is too much and the tyres rub on the wheel arches. Obviously heaps of you guys have fitted aftermarket wheels and I'm hoping you can give me some info on what will fit. I'd really like to fit 15" mags of a more modern style if possible as the 15" size will give a wider and more cost effective choice of tyres. I found someone who will modify the steel rims I have to reduce the offset but I would prefer to fit mags.........Any suggestions fellas? ? Cheers in advance Wayne

Hey guys been ages since I've posted on here. Just about to start some more work on ugly betty and was wondering has anyone fitted a 5 speed box from a 2wd hilux such as the 22R/RN85 model 1990-1995 series. I only ask cause I drive one as my day to day driver and it has over 300,000k's on the clock and seems as strong as and has good highway speed. They would be more readily available then the celica and supra boxes and should be cheaper to.......Any one done it? Cheers in advance Wayne

Hey Fellas.....Has anyone found a replacement combo tail light in LED style that fits easily to the bedford SWB vans. You know one that has Brake/Indy/Reverse all in one. If so can they supply a Brand and model name? Cheers in advance once again....Wayne

Thanks Marty, I guess I will just have to pull them both off and do some measuring to see what I can come up with.

Hi Guys, can anyone tell me if the red 202 intake manifold can be made to fit onto the black carby version 202 motor. Have got hold of a complete motor in good nick but I want to paint it red and take all the pollution crap off it. Seeing as I have just set up a weber onto my red intake manifold was hoping it would swap over. Fittings look very similar just want all the pollution gear gone. Can anyone tell me if it can be done? ? Cheers Wayne
