Hello all

Firstly I want to apploigise to people who have been awaiting items or info from me.

I have been stuck in Auckland for two and a half weeks, sorting out a major family issue and have not been accessing my email.

Tonight I have replyed to the latest PM's from those concerned.

Like many of you, particularly those of you who are self employed, I  am being dicked around by people outside of this forum who owe me money and this has added to issues im working though right now, causing delays in the purchase of raw materials etc.

Right now im battling that bloody flu that is going around and havent been able to do much since returning from Auckland.

I will be in touch with each of you, over the next couple of days.

Please PM me if you have any further questions and I will do my best to get back to you the same day.

Regards
Rusty

Ben a good flock gun will set you back around a $1000 bucks

Kirk
Way back when I was buildng kit set sports cars we did a stand for ourselves at a motorshow, we got some large sheets of partical board and flocked them for our walls in burgundy flock.

Then we cut out lettters for the name of our kit car and flocked those in bright yellow and stuck them on the back wall as stand offs.

It looked really really cool.

I will be doing flocking here very soon, but it maybe too costly to ship your dash over and back again.

Your looking at around $300 NZD to flock a whole dash.

Great stuff Kirk
Dont feel bad about the pay to play situation dude, most of the coolest rides and hottest vans etc you see in the USA are built for their owners by professional shops.
Most americans cant fit a stereo let alone overhaul there brakes, there are of course many exceptions to this this, but back yard rod and custom building is something of a tradition and an art in Ausi and NZ.

So when you got to the point of doing it yourself now or later you will feel all the better for it.
In the mean time, you have the most important thing of all "the passion"

Keep the faith brother Beddowyn

The Sump / Economic cure found
« on: July 04, 2009, 03:13:36 PM »
I wrote this for another forum I belong too, but flet it needed sharing here too.

I am going to totally over simplify this whole recession process.

"Money is made round to go round" we have all heard that saying I’m sure, well its true in the purist sense.

Over 90% of the damage done in slow economies is done by the media, if you get told folks are going to get laid off, money is tight, banks are not lending etc.

Then you and your neighbour buy into this, you take what little money you have and you stop spending.

You don’t buy that new tyre for the car, the wife doesn’t get that new hand bag, now these seem like small items, but this is where the real money changes hands.

This is where the economy is truly driven, at grass roots, sure there are plenty of millionaires out there and we all blame them along with the company presidents and the governments.

However in reality the economy is driven by the man in the street who decides if he should by that hot dog from the street vendor or not.
The hundreds of billions of tiny transactions that take place every day are what feed our economies the world over.

Let’s look at the circle, if you choose not to buy that new tyre, the tyre shop has now lost a sale, the tyre wholesaler has lost a sale, the tyre manufacturer has also lost a sale and they guy who stands on the shop floor operating the tyre moulding machine has lost his job.

Because that same day you were not the only person who decided not to buy that tyre, because the news paper and radio said, times are tough, money is tight blah blah blah.

Now how many family dinner tables have you effected, well at least 20 of your fellow blue collar workers, just decided not to buy a hot dog from the street vendor because you didn’t buy a tyre for your car.

Oh and I didn’t count the street vendor or the folks that his supply chain supports.

The ability of any nation to rise from an economic downturn does not lie with the politicians or law makers or even the banks.

It lies with you, your family, your friends and neighbours.

If everyone you know decided
"They say there is a recession on I CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE"

I will buy that tyre and that hot dog, now what happens!!

Yes the power is ours should we choose to use it, want to see a change overnight?

Forget lobbying the government to do something, lobby the News Papers, TV and Radio to change the doomsday message.
Change attitudes in the people and if you do this the economy will change.

Anyone heard of self affirmation, it works for each individual so why not a Nation.
When you swim are you thinking "float" or are you thinking sink.

YOU CHOOSE, YOU CAN.

Now before you tell me I have over simplified this, think long and hard about it.
Then tell me I am wrong.

In closing I would like to think you would post this everywhere you can, print it off and share it with your family, friends and neighbours, heck give it to your boss.

Our attitude determines our altitude.

This is an original item from Silverado
I’m no millionaire or anything of that sort, I’m a singer, song writer living full time in a motorhome in New Zealand, I also make a bit of fiberglass componentry and repair motorhomes and I’ve chosen "NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY RECESSION" as a result I have work and I find work.

Kind Regards
Stu Glen
