Thanks Scoop! Did you happen to remember what model or part # that breather is on the head of your 202? Also, the size of the pod? How did you realise you were getting hot air in straight into the pod? Performance lack or just physically felt it ?
Sorry for all the questions, mate!
Have just installed a re-co'd 202 with extractors etc. similar to yours, after the last one siezed. Not quite as shiny and shmick as yours tho And looking to chuck on a Pod. Cheers
hey mark no sorry dont know the part number and that but I can tell u I bought them both from rare spares...I found out about the hot air in the pod cause we had the probe thing up the exhaust testing the mixtures and found that when it was at a set of lights idleing the mixtures were all over the place but when driving it was perfect so we stoped and did a home made shield with some cardboard and cable ties and it fixed the problem so then I fabricated the little shield which stops the hot air been thrown up from the fan and also helps with the cool air coming from the bonnet scoop... Cheers

Also, what is the purpose of that large rounded piece under the actual pod?
I would say that its to protect the Pod from things coming of the fan blades (water, dirt, etc) I was having hot air being blown up from the fan going straight through into the pod so I fabricated a shield to stop this.
Hay Scoop, not sure that painting the Auto is the right thing to do, as I am sure you will find the the oill gets a lot hotter. End result a lot more wear and tear on the box.
No not really, it drives without any hassles temp is normal, if that was the case why would do we still paint radiators, blocks, sumps and heads. It does its annual trips from sydney to canberra for the summernats and from sydney to bathurst for the v8s with no problems - its a pleasure to drive Thanks

hey guys thanks for all the comments.
hey whats the box thing at the bottom of the sum bro? its an extension on the sump that holds an extra 2L of oil and with a HP high volume oil pump...u can never have enough lube!:)
Question, are you using the original Auto shifter? nope. its out of a early model gemini. the linkages bolt straight up.
how long was the rebuild....? rebuild was about 6months, doing all the work myself at home.
