Maintenance / Re: CF Workshop Manual

No worries happy to help.  Well picked up about the missing section. I can see you are in Belgium. In Australia, Bedfords had local carbies installed so I don't think anyone noticed the missing section up to now. I have scanned what I've got and added it to the UK link above. I might have some info on diesels too, if you need anything specific let me know.

This is a UK focused site which might have some relevant info to your van.

BUGA site information / Re: roadworthy items

$500 is too much. You can get your old heater box recored for around $250 at a radiator place. And did you try Robert Ross in Loganholme for door Springs and fan? 0402 989 175. The fan won't push much air but that's how they are originally.

Pedal rubbers are a perfect fit. The accelerator pedal has an old cracked rubber I found somewhere, but I think when I got roadworthy 20 odd years ago I never had one and it was ok.

Sounds like a good setup you have! I just ordered pedal rubbers from the link below

Introduce Yourself / Re: Old Bedford owner.

Nice one doujoy.. my first car was a Morris minor with a crank handle start option.. it was great, never had to worry about a flat battery, wish I had the option still.. you had to be careful it didn't back wind and catch you though..

I have seen videos online of people starting their truck with a wheel jacked up using a rope wound around the tyre to crank the engine.. check it out, have to try it on the Bedford one day!

Don't take it too hard Merlin, a lot of people only check the site infrequently. I found the discussion including your comments pretty interesting. A friend of mine wants to lower his front end at some point and I will pass on this thread, some good info.

Yes your van looks mint now Wendy.

Millsy will be mowing lawns until 2050 just to pay for his engine conversion I think - it might end up being a sleeper by default lol!

Yep drop spindles would change the game completely I imagine. Sounds like it was a bit of a mission, well done on figuring it all out!
