Hi, Ive been working on my LWB 74 CF for last couple of years and finally ready for a RWC now. But finding it difficult to locate a good, honest mechanic who is in touch with the older vehicles.
If anyone has any recommendations in Melbourne area for RWC please let me know. Thanks - Jared

Your best bet is to ditch the dual wheel diff. Put in a 9 inch, a mid 1960's Galaxy unit is the right width (1620mm face to face). 15 x 10 wheels will fill out the wheel arches, and are legal because it's not an increase in width over the original dual wheels. You'll get better brakes then, and a much better / cheaper choice of ratios. What motor / trans does it have?
Thanks, its a 202 red with a C4 trans I think. An axle has snapped and I'm getting priced around 3k to fix the issue which sounds excessive!

Hi All, Ive been working on my LWB CF for the last couple of years doing all the repairs I could do. But now I am out of time and cant progress without expert intervention.
Does anyone know of a good all-rounder CF mechanic who does restorations in Melbourne? Or if not my highest problem atm is a dual wheel diff problem ?
Thanks heaps Jared

Hi, I had my bedford cf broken into on New Years and the barn doors and mirrors damaged. I am after new glass for the barn doors ( pop out/bubble style preferably ) but also considering changing from bar doors to a single side or top hinged single rear door. If anyone has for sale please let me know Thanks Jared
