go to members section, type in rogerfield and chechout his disc brake conversion, most impressive, i have fitted it to my 73 swb. lowered front end 1.5 inches and runs all commodore components so no trouble getting parts new or used, i am running stock bedford master cyl and power booster and pedal feel is light and stops fantastic.

bedford diff housing is1568 mm flange to flange and 1728 drum to drum, vs commodore is 1455 f to f and run a 722 mm short axle and 820mm long axle, so you cut short side of housing, sleeve and extend to run 2 long axles, now 1555 flange to flange. disc to disc is1677 so to get  tracking same as front you change offset of commodore rims to hq back space.   or restud pcd of axles to hq and run hq rims.

28 spline borgwarner live axles run 22mm of spline into side gears with open centre, and have about 13 mm of unused spline so if you have about 20 odd mm of spline on your bedford axle left you should be fine.

turbo 700 has i third overdrive, meaning you will lose heaps of your horsepower particularly in overdrive at 100k plus, you say you have highway gears but state no ratio, with 179, 6 cylinder you  ideally need 2.92 or 3.08 ratio with a  3 speed auto to have revs about 2600 at 100k depending on tire height.

you may need to look at the printed circuit at rear of instrument cluster, remove cowl and with a mirror check circuit is intact,
