Introduce Yourself / Re: Griffin blood still runs through my veins« on: September 23, 2017, 11:25:58 AM »
Heres a thought.
We approach some one like Super Cheap Auto to sponsor a TV series, kind of like "The Block", 7 Bedfords of similar state are purchased from you and then there is a build off within a set budget to achieve the most radical van,The winner gets to keep his build and the balance are auctioned off and the funds raised go to some worthy related cause like development racing. This way we save 7 Beddies and grow the tribe -? 3

For Sale / Re: Urgent collection going to scrap« on: February 16, 2017, 10:20:28 PM »
Does anyone have connections in the TV world, they could get Supercheap Auto to sponsor a "my kitchen rules" type show where petrol heads get to rebuild Beedies in teams and then they're auctioned off like in the Block. This will give out beloved Busses a new lease on life,.the program could be kicked off with this flock of unwanted rust buckets,
I see a ratings buster here. 6

CF Bedford Chat / Re: bedford project« on: August 28, 2016, 06:11:51 PM »
Hi Shanash
Do the sums as to what it would cost to get it to that stage, that would be a starting point , deduct for work that's obvious and offer some back for the previous owner having saved you hours. Bedfords are given away at a fraction of their actual worth so what ever you offer him is going to be a good deal,If you take advantage of the situation Bedford Karma will get you -Good luck with the build ,keep us up to date with progress 8

John,
Mine is Cf mk1 which had no side door so I built the frame ready to go inside using foam and composites, then cut the hole, had one shot at it or off to the dump.its a fairly simple process as long as you do all the planning way in advance, send me your e mail address and I'll send you what ever pics I can find of the build pertaining to the door. Composites do shrink so you need to take this into account. Looks like a bought one 10
Driveline / Re: My Power Steering Install« on: July 16, 2016, 08:01:15 PM »
I have heard that there is a steering column that has an electric power steering unit all in one. I think the guys said its from a Hyundi of sorts - Does any one have any experience in this department? ,I recently had air con fitted, really good job, -Minus 1 degree C at the vent but the guy who did it reckons power steering isn't going to happen due to the limited space under there,He suggested the electric solution.
