Ive put 265/60/15 all round but the front hits when you turn. Rear has no problem. I will try  a few sizes down for front.

Driveline / Re: brake shoes for 12 bolt diff
« on: October 19, 2015, 01:01:02 AM »
Thanks for that, The diff center cover only allows to identify that it is from a car not a truck. The stamp to id the car it was from was possibly machined off when the now brackets were welded on.

The $700 did not include labour.  I found a place in Melbourne that does old American car brake shoes and cylinders for under $200. He said he may be able to identify it from pics and number on the cylinder.
Thanks for your response

Driveline / brake shoes for 12 bolt diff
« on: October 09, 2015, 08:02:56 PM »
Hi all, have a 12 bolt diff in the van. Not sure what from tried to buy brake shoes and new wheel cylinders. I was quoted $700 to reline the brake shoes  and resleeve the cylinders. Does anyone have any suggestions where I could purchase new brake shoes and cylinders from.

That looks pretty good and fair price. I used paint stripper and sanded. It took two guys about five days to get it clean in most corners. The soda blasting does the tight spots much better.

Hi Ben, I am sure it is 2.3. The guy told me and I did not believe him he showed me the receipt of when he paid to have the diff ratio put in. I spoke to a few diff places about changing it and I was informed that Chev did make a 2.3 ratio.
