For Sale / Re: Van For Sale in Adelaide
« on: October 17, 2015, 09:09:37 AM »
Yeah Russell it's a nice van and it's gone to a good home.
As far as the tray top goes, now I have some money I can start on the cab and interior. The driveline's all done so it's only the body and tray and the wiring to finish. Oh and the leak in the power steering.
There's always something... ;)

Yeah Sammy, it's been a hectic 24hrs! I thought I had the price right at $3750; pretty fair i thought.
Next thing I know I've got offers of $4000 sight unseen :o.
So it was down to whoever came up with the best offer. I sold it to a couple of local guys who want to buy a lot of the extra parts as well. I've never got over the asking price on a vehicle sale before ;D
All I have to do now is change my avatar.

For Sale / Van For Sale in Adelaide
« on: October 13, 2015, 03:46:07 PM »
Hi All,
Due to changing circumstances etc etc... :) (you've heard it all before)-I'm selling my van.
I'll be using the proceeds on my tray top so I'm not abandoning the Beddy game all together.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/rosewater/cars-vans-utes/1979-bedford-cf-panelvan/1092005605

I've also got lots of Beddy parts and most of a VP commodore - Engine, Trans, wiring loom, brake booster, etc. PM for details.
As well as that I've got a worked Holden Black motor. Once again PM for details.
So if you're after a van or some bits or you know someone who is I'll be happy to talk!

Cheers
Phil

I'll have to revise my photo  posting skills :o
http://www.aussiespeedshop.com/product/holden-red-motor-manifold-adm-weber/
Mine's a 12 port head but they do a 9 port for red motors.
The ute looks great by the way. FB's are as old as me :)

here's an option Marty. 34 adm Weber (XE Falcon) on an Aussie Speed Manifold. this manifold is double drilled for Weber and Holley. I'll be sticking this in my van soon.

My truck runs a 308 on straight gas, bit of a cam trimatic and 3.55 diff gears. The previous owner told me he'd worked out consumption at 25l/100km which is a little more than Skippy's 253 uses - a bit less than yours. He took me for a test drive when I was buying it and he pretty much held it flat most of the time, hard acceleration, late braking and all the things you don't do for economy. He told me that's how he always drives.
I haven't done the sums myself yet but I reckon I do a lot better than him, driving sedately... most of the time ;). Most of my driving is around town which doesn't help either.
I reckon the overdrive will improve things for you for sure
