Ooh! Ooh!
I gotta see. Gotta mate who's just moved back here after shakin' it over in Christchurch for the better part of 10 years. We're supposed to do something this weekend cos another mate does 2:1 FIFO so me and him are only in town on the same w/end every 6 weeks and we had to pass on the last one. Hopefully we can make it work on friday night so I will be free on Sat but I won't know for another day or so. I'll let you know asap, Danny.
So, yeah, put me down as a definite maybe!

Thanks, Danny.
Yeah, its a bummer but with no skills of my own, its been in a permanent holding pattern for the past few years and it won't survive too many more winters like this one. Left it with a guy for 6 months to do some electrical stuff and when his missus got sick, I went to take it off his hands and discovered he pretty much hadn't done anything but leave it outside in the rain. That's it, I thought, I gotta do something asap.
Cost me 3.5 for the tranny rebuild, 2 for the brakes, 2 on the conversion, another 2 on misc mech stuff by our very own Merlin, plus 1000's more here and there (you know the drill)... I don't expect to get any of it back, of course. Has barely been driven since it was all done.
She ain't pretty though. Gutters were redone a few years ago but the rust is coming back big time. Coupla small holes in the roof, doors are starting to go. Dented front right quarter panel that should be poppable. Never been chopped though. Pretty close to stock.
And she flies. Funnest ride I ever had. This is killing me.
