Introduce Yourself / Introducing Colin the Croosin' Camper
« on: March 01, 2013, 08:21:32 PM »
The Mrs got the bug after driving our Beddy Ice Cream Van and when we wanted to replace our coach with something smaller...Well a Beddy popped its head up and Viola! Not going to do too much to it, Its pretty good as is, might bag the back as we want to tow a trailer, some carb issues to sort out....gas/petrol...and a diff whine which I suspect is a standard option on Beddies. We've listed a Disc Brake Conversion kit we dont need and look forward to enjoying ourselves croosin around in Colin...Dont hesitate to say G'day!

For Sale / Disc Brake Conversion
« on: March 01, 2013, 08:11:31 PM »
G'day Buga's
Ive got a brand new unused Disc brake conversion kit for a beddy. There are a pair of HQ/WB Modified front Rotors, Caliper mounting brackets and spacers. You will need to supply calipers and the appropriate booster to complete the kit as well as a pair of five stud rims.
Manufactured by BHSS-TBS Brake and Steering remanufacturing at Capalaba and cost us $683.01 (gst incl.)
How 'bout $580.00 (gst incl) and Ill send them anywhere in Australia for free! email is better, kismetATbigpond.net.au or phone 07 54350053

For Sale / Bedford Ice Cream Van for sale
« on: July 12, 2012, 02:09:06 PM »
OK, so reality has slapped me in the face and this sweet little project is on the market!

We were going to turn her into a Coffee Cart but a lack of cash dictates otherwise but what a great business proposition for someone!!!! It has the isolated room for a generator and or gas bottle, 60L fresh and grey water tanks and an electric water pump woth hand basin as per council but what a roomy and unique delivery? A very spatious camper? A truly wild show van????
HEre's the run down...
THE GOOD
I was told this van underwent a significant restoration about 4 years ago and the interior, the reciepts and the chassis condition (new bushes, bearings etc) confirm this. The wiring needs a tidy up but all the bells and whistles squeek and squark. It is a 186 with 3 speed auto running on dual fuel. Those ARE mag wheels (not plastic caps) and the tyres are new. The Ice Cream Horn works
THE BAD
The motor was run on straight gas for a prolonged period so the valves are burnt out and the motor, although it runs, isnt so good. The Ice Cream Machine and Genny arnt included! The Ice Cream Horn doesnt play Greensleeves! Only "Home on the Range" and something else
THE UGLY
There are a number of rust spots that need urgent attention....Mainly the sills (I would remove them for a flush look) and the bonnet (One of Bens Monza front clips would be wild!!!!) There is NONE in the chassis or floor pan! There is a dent behind the tailiight on the drivers side. NONE of this is beyond the average handymans abilities to make good. The "something else" the Ice Cream Horn plays sounds like a chicken being strangled!!!
The SWEETNER
It MUST be sold so will go on Fleabay/Gumtree sooner rather than later for $1500 but if a BUGA member wants to make an offer I am happy to help an enthusiast...AND... I will throw in a spare motor that was a goer and never run on gas.
PM me or phone 07 54350053 (and freight to Nigeria is NO PROBLEM!)

Thanks for the Welcome Bas,
Its a 1977 model and Im not sure if those taillights are OEM...They look pretty flash though...The vents are for the 25KVA Diesel generator that sits in the back....
