My Antivirus Protector is alerting me that there is a portential threat here: "HTML/ScrInject.B.Gen Virus"   ::)

This is an issue with a lot of different Antivirus solutions at the moment. You need to make sure its updated.

Everyone else having problems loading images from other sites when coming here, what ISP's are you using?
ISP'S??? Sorry, I have no idea what that means. I am very computer illiterate in the area of viruses and many other facets. I did a scan on my ESET and it told me there were 10 infiltrations. I deleted off all the threats. But as soon as I came back on here, it's started again. So must definately be something nasty lurking here. I'm now very reluctant to come back on here.  :o :o ::) Cheers.

It could be that you actually have a virus on your computer. There was/is a bug with Eset that reports viruses on webpages that really dont have viruses on them. See this forum: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=316216

Kerry, if you continue to have problems with your computer, please call me on 0731881444

G'Day Shane, My computer is functioning fine in all other aspects. It's only when I come on here, that I keep getting the "Potential Threat" alerts. ('WARNING! WARNING! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!") Which only started when everybody else starting complainging of the virus. I believe I am protected from Virus it's just that it's warning me that there's something here. I don't get the message on anything else I browse on the internet.. Is that a  mobile number? I don't call mobiles as it's like a $1 a minute! (I'm on a really stupid plan)...thanks for that anyway, I will check out the link you gave me. Cheers, Shane. K.
G'Day Shane, did check out link, but all so way over my head. I'm new to computers, don't know the lingo, never had a virus. I'm at that point where I'm too scared to come on this site anymore. Could you ring me perhaps, to sort it out? Any advice would be much appreciated.  My number is 042 575 5269 anytime after 7:00 pm.

In the last couple of days I've been getting Potential Threat messages popping up from my Anti Virus Protector whenever I come onto this site now.  So something's going on somewhere here. I'm not very computer savvy, so I don't know what to make of it.  Something about URL and IP addresses are getting blocked by my Anti Virus Protector here.

The Sump / Re: What have you been up to this week
« on: February 15, 2012, 08:22:10 PM »
So started again on daves van this week it now has a hsp diff and ALMOST disc breaks whilst changing the stubs out the top left hand wishbone had a tone of grime on it so I scraped it away  >:(  some one has welded the top ball joint in - is this common? after all the bedies iv seen and worked on Iv not seen this done , has anyone else? anyway im uncomfortable leaving it like that it so its coming OUT.  :-\ here we go , the metal around the ball joint looks like its been through a washing machine. Ill post some pics of it oh yer its got mags now too!!
When I had my balljoints replaced recently the mechanic told me they'd been welded in, although the last time I had them done were by  my good friend & mechanic who swore he never welded them in, as that's just bad mechanical practice. Unfortunately the other mechanics didn't give me back my old ones, as I'd asked,  to look at so the mystery remains: were they or were they not welded in? Someone was lying!

Maintenance / Re: Handy Hint: Accelerator Cable
« on: February 12, 2012, 08:36:16 PM »
another way out of this situation.

If the cable breaks ant the throttle pedal end, then bolt the cable end to some where convenient, and pull the outer cable housing this will work the throttle.

Years ago a group of friends and I were on bikes 300 miles from home late on a sunday night, on guy broke a clutch cable so we looped it over the seat and down to the passangers foot pedal, the passanger pulled up on the cable to push the clutch in and slowly released the cable letting the clutch out.

I was funny watching them try and get it but after 10 minutes they were going no worries and we made it home without futher problems.

I also wondered whether a guitar string would work as well  (if you happen to have a guitar on board, that is), it has the same type ball on the end, and I believe 'A' string would be the right thickness, although I'm not sure if it would be long enough, but a creative mind could probably make it work.  ;D
