Hey marty,
I know i am no chance of getting back even half the money i have spent on this thing but i was hoping to get get somewhere around the 15000 mark . Rust in the truck isn't to bad usual spots . The rear doors aren't pretty but repairable bonnet has a little bit as does a couple of the joints in the rear. Agian it does have rust but nothing that is not fixable . For me i am at a point where i have to cut my losses. The chassis , bullbar and rear bar cost me about 19000 two years ago , transmission has only done about 4000km since full overhaul engine has done about 20000 since a rebuild i have just redone the wheel bearings and brakes right round. Internally it is still fitted out as an icecream van minus the icecream machine

For Sale / CF350 Van for sale
« on: May 25, 2015, 08:59:41 AM »
G'Day, I am considering selling my Beddy. It has been set up to complete the Variety Bash. After just finishing my 5th Bash in this truck I feel sadly it is time to part ways. The Truck has a whole list of expensive mods that would help make a great camper or tourer with a bit of TLC. she has rust in the usual buddy spots, Nothing to dramatic though. list of mods include a full 65mm square sectioned chassis , F350 rear end with a DANA 60 diff, Holden 308 black motor , Turbo 700 Transmission, Extra large fuel tank , Dessert cooler radiator, 33' front wheels and the extra high roof ( She is an ex ice-cream van ) Have a quick look and if anyone is interested just reply and I will contact you

Driveline / Re: Cf 350 Chassis
« on: September 18, 2012, 10:23:37 AM »
Hey Mezzmo,
I have a strengthened 9" in her at the moment but with the generator , big fuel tank and the ice-cream gear she is still quite heavy approx 4ton  which is the reason for the failure . As for the clearance yes it is an issue that is the reason i am looking at possibly putting it on another chassis. The van makes a great bash car and the Kids love getting soft serve in remote places and the Adults like to adult variety at the party stops ! The Van has a 308 and a turbo 700 trans. I was thinking about possibly making a couple of blocks to lift the front end but i will have to do a little more investigation regarding that.
This years bash to The Cape was easily the roughest i have done in the past eight years  The road north from Cairns was an absolute car wrecker worse then the Gibb river road last year . But still great fun for a great cause . I am hoping to have beer on tap for next year but will have to solve this drive line issue first
Cheers
Mick

Driveline / Cf 350 Chassis
« on: September 17, 2012, 02:35:50 PM »
Howdy, Well i have just completed the 2012 Variety bash in the icecreaminator ( www.icecreaminator.com ) Unfortunately the road conditions to cape york along with the weight required to carry wasn't Kind to the old girl. I am looking for some advice as to how or what Chassis will fit under the Van. I wish to beef the whole thing up to ensure it can take the abuse of outback roads. The result of the weight and the road condition was a snapped diff housing. So i was thinking of whacking a jap truck diff under it and then that got me thinking of putting a whole chassis and drive line under her. Has anyone done this ? what did you use ? was it to difficult ? any help would be appreciated. Cheers
