Maintenance / Re: Ball Joint Question
« on: July 05, 2012, 12:21:50 AM »
For some reason i think that the different ball joint size came out with each different sized stub axel but isnt limited to stay with that stub axel..

im pretty sure the only difference between them is the size of where the ball joint meets the wishbone.

but hugh is right about grease nipples thou:)

Yep fudge likes to growl at ppl when they get too close ;D
Only reason I,m selling it is that I bought an old Austin bus . Otherwise I,d never sell it . The gutters are still good and so is the bonnet , the gas tank is good for another six years I think . Runs ok on petrol but is tuned for the gas . Put new bushes through the front end a while ago , has original front and back wheels , replaced a rear wheel bearing about six months ago and yep original Bedford rear end, I rekon it will just keep going forever but it would also be a good one for someone who wants to play with.
Cheers
Hi, can you please let me know what year the van is and who did the front end for you, what bushes etc..
Cheers

yesterday i remembered where an old bedford cf truck is.

-drove to the blokes house.

-chatted for an hour

-put a deposit down on the rusted out beast

-going to collect it in 2 weeks (when i have my new block)

-will have a stub axel for you then.

Hey Ben, Excellent, i have sourced some in UK, is it a definite with you now, so i don,t have to worry?  Cheers Steve

Cheers Matt, I think I'll probably miss the Nat's at this rate.  I'll keep looking for another stubb axle or maybe will have to machine down a thicker one myself.  Anybody know who can do this?

very cool looking van, the single window payne is original and sweet, gives it a panel van look to it, like a cross between a shorty, a long wheel base and a sandman, cool mate.
