Id think you would need the block to touch and rub on thr high part of the steering arm at 1 oclock on your red circle.
Also looks like you could use some greese in those ball joints judging by your rubber boots,
They look to be dry.

You would never use that much lock.
Just work out the lock your happy with and weld some bump stops on.

Take the plates off
Cut them in half.
Then bolt the top half to motor.
Bottom half to rubber mount.
Then jack the motor up to where you want it and weld a piece in between the 2 halves.

Extend the engine mount plates that bolt to the block, then refit to mounts
