Wanted / Re: Seats to fit original frames
« on: February 18, 2013, 12:13:03 PM »
Thanks Warren
tried to go to the wreckers with measurements on the weekend and the ones that were open weren't too keen on letting me walk around the yard to try and find some seats, but hopefully now I've got a model to look for they'll let me look.

yeah that welded a bit of flat bar on the side to widen it to for these seats. if i clean it up and paint it i might get away with but then again i might get an inspector that might spot it.
also i don't how strong that is.

Wanted / Seats to fit original frames
« on: February 13, 2013, 12:36:21 PM »
Hi guys and gals

I'm looking for a pair of seats to fit the original seat frames, the frames that are in my van at the moment have been modified roughly to fit the seats that were put in and I'd rather get them back to original to save myself a headache when i go to register. I think that these are the original seat frames but I'm sure you guys will be able to tell me from the photo below if they're not.
if they are original do you guys know of any other seats that would bolt on to the original frame without modifying it. or even better does any one have any original seats they want to sell?

Thanks

CF Bedford Chat / Re: engineering certificate?
« on: August 23, 2012, 01:24:03 PM »
Hi Guys
I just went and saw one of the RTA approve engineers in town and he said that if i put a fiberglass one piece door on the back that I wouldn't need a certificate since I'm not affecting the overall structural integrity of the vehicle.
I'll check with the other approved engineer in town first but hopefully that my problem solved.

CF Bedford Chat / engineering certificate?
« on: August 21, 2012, 08:24:35 PM »
Hi Guys
I'm hoping you guys can answer some questions some of my friends have raised about what does and doesn't require an engineering certificate when i go to get my blue slip in NSW.
if I replace the original seats (even if i use the original mounts) I need an engineering certificate.
if I put a fiberglass skin on a door or a complete fiberglass door I need an engineering certificate.
also if I change how a door opens, ie batwing side door i need an engineering certificate.
I've seen that people have done similar thing to this before so I figured that you guys would have a better idea if this is true then my friends

For Sale / Free to good home (plus postage)

Hi Guys
I'm getting rid of the barn doors that came on my CF originally, I was going to list them on eBay but figured that I'd save myself the fees and just sell it on here.

they've got a few dents in them (couldn't get a good photo of the dents) and a little bit of rust in the bottom on them.
will throw in the all the hinges but not the handle, i want use it on the one piece door I'll be replacing these with.

I figure that I whatever i could get for them on eBay would probably be taken in fees so you can have them for free, you've just got to pay for postage from Wagga Wagga.

if you'd like anymore photos let me know.
