Found a good replacement rack end that has been reworked to make life easy. It has a better thread locking system on the ball end. Go to Ultimate Power Steering Brendale Qld. Look under holden/Bedford for replacement rack end.

I run standard 15x10" mags with standard 3.75" holden offset with 275/60r15 tyres. This combination gives clearance of the tyres on the inside of the guards and puts the van rear in Bedford track.

I did my swap a while back but you remove the spring blocks off the Bedford diff then set up the holden in its place. welded on, you will find the "ubolts"outer ones needs to be stitch welded to the housing as it sits on the taper of the bearing. The tailshaft needs to have a holden uj 2030 uni fitted then balanced and the length checked at same time ,best done by a tailshaft mob.

I installed a th700 with turbo 308 in my cfl 4years ago using aTCI 376600 kit with modification to suit the aussie box as it has an extra heat switch internaly. The converter locks up when the conditions are right, steady speed etc, but drops out on hills under load or when the brakes are used

I run a 308 holden with a tubo 700 with lockup on gas, thru a 3.08 one tonner diff,275/60 x15 on rear. Around town 20/100 on highway 16-17/100. Electric fans and water pump for less drag.
