John the previous owner (a long time buga contributor) was quite sure that the cfl350 was not a candidate for the disc brake conversion sadly. I will try and suss out the reasoning but am quite sure he was very thorough in all he did with the bedi.
Ourbrakes work quite adequately under normal conditions but we did have a scare on a very steep and lengthy descent. We actually stopped and did a uturn and found an alternate route. The brakes were starting to smell and smoke and, perhaps it was an overreaction, but I thought they were fading quite markedly....it was enought to make us very cautious about long mountain descents.....little bit ratherbe sure than sorry!

Hi John We are currently enjoying a Bedi trip annd the best we've achieved would be 15 litres per 100km .....depending on conditions it seems to vary up to a worst of 17/18... but that is comparable to our old 100 series towing a 17ft van. By the way we went over a weighbridge a few days ago and she weighed in at 4.08 tonne..got a bit of a shock, better go on a diet..  Regards Bob Ps.. we are really enjoying it and its easy and relaxing to drive considering the age. The v6 has plenty of power..our biggest concern is the Dr um brakes on long downhill sections..we are quite cautious with that...

John the height of our motorhomefrom the side is 2.85 metres, then we have the 4 seasons hatches and tv aerial adding almost an extra 20cm .... we have therefore
ourselves a safety margin of 3.2m.
Trust this is helpful and that before too long your carport is home to another Bedi motorhome!

Our 75 cfl independence motor home goes safely under bridges of 3.2 m, probably with a safety margin of .2........
We have 4 seasons hatches and a tv aerial that are the highest points on the roof.
Not near it at the moment but could do a more defined measure on the weekend if you think it worthwhile.

I too have recently acquired a 75 cf and the seats came from a volvo 244 ... previous owner said it was an easy conversion to make. Hope you enjoy the ride!

We are the proud owners of our recently purchased 1975 CK350 fitted from new with a full motorhome conversion. We are pretty sure we are only the third owners as it came with some original paperwork etc. The bloke we got it from was a very handy mechanic and has done heaps of work over several years, both mechanically and within the whole interior. ...Bedi was his baby.
It runs a v6Commodore with 4 speed auto and gets along at a rate that us older people are comfortable! Just need to keep an eye on that temperature, but I can switch the fan on any time manually.Not that we can adjust the cabin temperature in any way other than winding down the windows...lol
This fulfills a long held dream for my wife to have a motorhome and Bedi now supercedes other caravan/campers etc.
Thank you for the forum and the facebook page ....its a whole new world for us. We thought we were 'special' having a v6 til we read of all the v8's.
We look forward to enjoying ou,r Bedi journey.
