I looked at lots of cars and the only rubbers that I found that were long enough to suit the way Bedford doors open, were on the rear lift up doors on vans. I tried to buy new, but didn't find anyone to sell them, every wrecker I went to refused to sell them to me unless I bought a complete power window set up, eventually one wrecker told me to go to U-Pull-it and help my self. (not sure if you have anything like U-pull-it in other cities) they charge $2 to get in, you remove the parts from their cars yourself and they charge you on the way out, very good for small bits like this

I got some rubber boots from the wreckers (rear doors of Japanese vans) I found that when the Bedford doors are closed there is only a few mm gap, so the wires were getting squashed. I made up some small boxes and welded them in, to create a recess for the wires when the door is closed.
I think it worked well.

tie a sting to the spanner, its a bitch to get back when it's dropped inside the door.

does any one have a Trimatic they want to get rid off?
mine has been pulled apart and there are not to many parts that are good enough to go back in.

beware!! the Rare Spares door rubbers are just a length of generic rubber off of a roll, you need to cut to length, join and glue onto the door. not the best fit, but I don't know of a better option.

I have wheels now, I borrowed the Centerlines from my HQ, they looked good but the rears were not the right offset for my diff but luckily a pair of 10" came up on ebay and had 275x60's but on them, they fill the guards really well. just need taller tyres for the front wheels and then I can call that job done. http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=21&g2_itemId=39571except my HQ now has no front wheels

my beddy is getting close to being finished, it's at the stage now that I can drive it. but... I need some decent back wheels for her. Has any one got some 15inch HQ stud pattern wheels they want to sell? jelly beans or modified HQ stockies would be awesome, but anything really, 15x8, 15x9 or 15x10. I've been checking ebay and gum tree every day for over a year now and still no luck.
