Hi Wendy & Ray,
Just a question re wheel sizes for the Bedford? 15" looks a good upgrade on the 14", however, wondering how 16" would look? I like the wheels on your van. Wondering what size are they? 6
Driveline / Re: VS steering column & Astra/ Barina elect p/steer« on: March 21, 2019, 12:02:20 PM »
Had a good reply on the Beddy facebook forum from Julian Bonner who advised the VS column install is not difficult & is going to post some pics soon of how he did it. Even better he is installing a VS dash. Looking forward to hearing how it goes & especially of the clearance between the wheel & instrument housing.
Still looking for info on the Astra/ barina elect steer. The correct unit to look out for is the TRW, not TRE as previously posted. How good are these Beddys! 7

Just a request for any information on how to install the VS column. I read somewhere thats its not too hard, however, cannot locate the post. Pic of the column attached.
Also any tips on installing the elect p/steer. Hooter made good mention of it when describing the LS1 conv - I've had similar ideas ever since reading his saga. Is the TLE elec unit the one to go for? At the rate I'm going I might just be ready for the planned Nov run. Thanks Baz 8

Many thanks Hooter for your detailed description of the LS1 fit & the great pics. Your 'how to fix ' problems such as sump on rack, also much appreciated, similarly tips on elect steering. I'm sure all this will save me some costly knock backs by the engineer when it gets looked at next month.
Cheers, baz 9

Hi Zeeman,
Any chance of marketing the transit rack & assembly on the BUGA site? There's lots of interest on the forums & a NZ import seems to be the only (presently) available option. |
