Hi Downhill, my heater was stuffed as well so I fitted a different setup...if you check out my Beddy Rescue Blog, keep scrolling down to the bottom of the first page until you see my post on what i used and how i fitted it up...works a lot better than the original....I actually did two, the second one is the one I ended up using// follow this link - hope this helps... http://bedford2540.blogspot.com/

Don't stress Merlin, Im sure like me there are people reading the posts who don't have any mechanical knowledge to comment, I'm stoked like others in the info you provided, I just dont have the capital, or know how to go any further. And like Wendy said, this is still a very important tool for anyone building, restoring a Beddy, I used this site a lot chasing past info.

Actually, Julian, it's the back drum hardware I'm after not the front...I'm staying Bedford brakes all round at the moment.,.need at least one brake adjuster more than anything else...the one i is well and truly seized and no amount of soaking etc will shift it...
