Yeah I was really hoping to get away with much less than $3500- but was wanting to get something in a similar vintage style as the 80's beddy..

Agree...
spoke to a engineer in Sydney, they do a 3 seater rear seat with belts etc fixed into the seat- engineered- $3500. Its more like a hiace seat though. He said it would cost $$$ to have a vinatge rear seat engineered, tested then built and certified. Any other ideas? Some beddy owners must have been down this road 4

Excuse my ignorance- very new to owning a beddy...Haven't actually picked it up yet. Its got a red 202 i believe. So whats the difference between the red & blue motors? What about the 253? Just thinking in terms of upgrade later on...getting excited

Hi all,
Well still haven't picked up my beddy yet ![]() Anyway would like to put in a rear seat in first for the kids. Does anyone have any experience/ information in doing this? I'm in NSW. Ideally i would love a seat out of a vehicle of similiar vintage- 70-80's. Be also great if it could be removed with ease to carry loads. Anyway any info or pics of your rear seat set ups would be appreciated. Cheers 6
Maintenance / Re: Yoke/ universal joint« on: May 29, 2015, 01:30:01 PM »
Hi all
Thanks for the welcome. So problem is now solved. I have a new yoke/ uni joint welded and balanced to fit the holden tail shaft. Apparently now strong enough to run a V8. Ive still got the Celica 4 speed. I'm wondering if i should put a 5 speed in at some point. I dont know why all the original modifications/ why not have an aussie 4 speed instead of the celica. Anyway im hoping to pick her up Mon or Tues.... 7

Hi all-
New to BUGA. I'm buying a mates 80 CF Beddy. It's undergoing a blue slip inspection and we are stuck here. It has a 4 speed celica gearbox mated to a Holden tail shaft. So before mechanic will pass blue slip it needs a yoke/ universal joint as the one in at the moment is stuffed. Would appreciate any ideas please. Cheers
