Hello all

Long time lurker and enthusiast finally found myself a van after a few years looking on and off.
Allot of work ahead of me but loving driving this gal around already

1977 CFS
*Auto ( 202 ? )
*Power steering
*Air con
*Petrol

Im sure youll be hearing from me allot on the forums as i try and fix various things. Bit of a mechanical noob but a fast learner.

Ive been given a complete stereo system to go with her so my next project will be that along with Rust removal from the gutters and wheel arches, new side mirrors, reversing camera and probably new headlights and tail lights!

Any tips or must knows im all ears

Yeah im starting to think it may not be a good idea untill i have some more moola... especially after reading that guide posted above.

As much as i love beddys ,Maybe i should start with something simple like a purvis eureka :P which at least is built on a vw bug so i could do most of the work on that...

Thanks for all the help, much contemplating to do

Yeah ide love to customize it in the future but for now i just need a van to get me from a to b (and yes it has to be a beddy :P)

so for the moment i want a cheap do upper.

Im not terribly mechanical but im sure i could get rid of the rust ( i can weld ok) and paint it too .anything thats physical i could do myself im sure.

Thanks for the heads up on prices

Hi im a long time lurker recent member. What sorta price should i be expecting to pay for a runner?  Being a student im pretty strapped for cash most of the time and can probably spend around 2-3k most, should i keep saving or just keep looking ?
