Marky speak to your local brake and clutch people, they should be able to supply a clutch plate.
In the article below from oldholden.com it lists a 1.8 Toyota Lite Ace clutch plate should fit.

Also a speedo cable from a hi lux is mentioned.
Hope this helps.

Hey Craig Thanks..had a look at that...
No pics of a beddy conversion...appparently from article
celica box is 40mm shorter and lower than m21 box
so gearbox crossmember has to be modified
im looking for pics of converted crossmember in a beddy...anyone got one in their van?

Marky I haven't done a celica but did a supra a little while ago. We had to drop the x member down by fitting 25mm x 25mm square tube between the rails and x member. Used longer bolts and you will need to fit some tube/pipe inside the square tube to stop crushing it. Tailshaft also needed modifying, the yoke and length were wrong. We turned the shifter around to face forward and fitted an extension to get the height right.

nice one ..great idea with the 25mm pipe hadn't thought of that
tht will take care of the 40mm drop needed ..now to sus the bracket that is needed to seat the bottom of box
been reading this article too on conversion into an EJ/EH

This guy made up brackets to fit...just need a shot of a beddy....with a 5 speed..hmmmmm

Marky we used the x member and re drilled the mountings for the g/box mount. The pic in your link looks good or you could use a flat plate withh the celica mounting holes on the front and holden ones at the rear.

When you guys speak of Celica boxes, what boxes are you really speaking about? T50s? W5x? Steel case?
-
yeh marky this gearbox comes with crossmember clutch plate. pressure plate, thrust bearing.. tail sharft yoke. you shouldnt have to buy anything else.. except maybe to get the gearbox at the right hight.
cheers

Got My Box delivered...Thanx Ben
Its got a castlemaine Rod shop Bell housing.....I rang them for answers about my box..said "no info avail"
What I want to know is....The box has a forward pointing Gear Linkage.
eliminating the need to use it as a top loading gearbox
and enables
to mount it in a normal beddy selecter postion
.........with a bush..but it has no mounting for the bush..
any one seen one these set up before?
-
thats all custom marky.. prety cool huh. yeh just got to get it all working.. post some pics up so people can help.

Sorry Marky ment to get some pics for ya, will do tomorrow....I run hydrolic master and slave cylinders, rod Hadfields bell housing, dyna truck clutch set up of some sort, custom cross member and hangers bolted through Chassis. works well but as you mentioned my shifter at the mo is not Quite, but almost in the back of the van ;D......working on a remote shifter (with everything else)....ps it's a supra box not a celica so, not sure on the Celica measurements??? hope this helps....

i think you will find from talking to the bloke i bought it off..
all you need is a tie rod end socket mounted to the floor to mount the gear shifter too and it sould all work properly.. its just like an extension of the gear knob.. apparently works fantastic once it setup also..

as a variation to this I am fitting a Tarago 5 spd behind an injected blue 202
this is same box as Supra but diff front and rear housings, rear mount is on top and is round bush type (haven't worked out crossmember yet but shouldn't be hard to suspend from chassis)
best part is the shifter, remote teleflex cables so can put it right forward in Beddy position and run cables back to the 2 levers on the side of the box
-
sorry Marky ....long time over due ::) hope these help
-
Thanks Dano :)

Hey all I'm after a speedo cable to suit the Celica 4 spd I just chucked in my van, any ideas before I go looking through yellow pages?
Cheers
Alex

Where abouts are you? I have lots of speedo cables for the Celica boxes.
-
the rod shop do a celica 4 to holden speedo cable. from memory it was bout $70
-
im gunna make a conversion cable just out of 2 cables then join them together in the middle with a clamp type thingy hard to explain, works perfect and you can make it really long too!!

gday shane im in melbourne, would you have celica 4spd to bedford? is there a difference between the 4 and 5spd speedo gear, and also is the bedford speedo end different to holden?
gday neville, hear ya got some cash for me... lol
is that castlemaine rod shop ya talking about? coz i know rare spares sell them to suit old holdens, but im not sure if its there the same as bedford.
cheers
