hi,
not sure if there's already infor about this on here, but, i've got a new triple core radiator and have added an extra thermo fan. one wasn't enough. so now i have two fan's worth of wiring to attach to the single plugs from the old setup. can i just thread the wires from the two fans together or is this suicidal?
any info appreciated
thanks

Maria that shouldn't be a problem as long as you get the polarity of the wires right! You will also need to make sure the new fan is mounted correctly to blow through or draw through air over the radiator.
Give me a call.

You'll also need to make sure the wiring is up to the task of supplying current to both fans.

G'day
My advice is to:
- run each fan off a seperate relay.
- use heavy cable.
- put a thermal circuit breaker in the circuit.
If one fan siezes, (which they do occasionaly) you can pull the relay out and keep going on the other fan.
I got caught once.
I use a couple of relay holders and a thermal circuit breaker out of an XF Falcon. You will find them in the engine bay on the drivers side inner guard.
