Title: Ford Transit = Modern Bedford??

Looks a little like a modern Bedford no?

Do these come with bubble windows?

These 07-09 Transits seem to have a bit more "grunty style" then their contemporarys imo...

Looks more like a japanese piece of crap compared to a Bedford to me, but it is lucky we all have different tastes.
For a new van I agree it is one of the best but to compare it to a CF Bedford is nearly criminal.

In truth my opinion is probably invalidated by the fact I drive a commodore when my van is off the road and your van photo looks nicer than a commodore...

G'day

Wash your mouth out. Bedford and Transit in the same sentence.

I have made the mistake of owning a Transit on 4 seperate occassions.
I have owned a series one 4 cylinder van and truck, 6 cylinder van, and a 1997 turbo diesel truck.
The early ones were scary in the handling to drive. the 1997 one just kepy breaking down and was bloody expensive each time. It is currently sitting in my yard.

I have driven a LBV Hiace and a Volkswagon and while nice, they did not have the "feel" of a CF.
It is sad indictment of GM that they didn't keep developing the CF.

i owned an early transit for 2 days.. leaf springs all round.. and would agree with chris.. was very scary taking corners at the same speed as my cfs.. never again..

Imposter
from the pictures on the side it looks like the owner of that blue japanes van in your picture is a peadophile.  I guess it makes sense when you see what he has to drive, it could turn anyone funny.  (possibly being a bit unfair & innapropriate)
cheers :D

cheers imposter, I was only having a dig at the transit, and the van in the picture didnt leave me much ammunition to criticise other than the fact it is a transit, so I homed in on anything I could.  The murals are actually pretty good.

No comparrison between the cf and a transhit. cf had style , grace and curves to die for , its such a pity that they stuck ford in the bedfords name , still with ford in there it explains why cfs rust so badly.
