Hi All, Ive been working on my LWB CF for the last couple of years doing all the repairs I could do. But now I am out of time and cant progress without expert intervention.
Does anyone know of a good all-rounder CF mechanic who does restorations in Melbourne?
Or if not my highest problem atm is a dual wheel diff problem ?
Thanks heaps
Jared

Your best bet is to ditch the dual wheel diff. Put in a 9 inch, a mid 1960's Galaxy unit is the right width (1620mm face to face). 15 x 10 wheels will fill out the wheel arches, and are legal because it's not an increase in width over the original dual wheels. You'll get better brakes then, and a much better / cheaper choice of ratios. What motor / trans does it have?

For restoration call Phil in Doveton on 0408 547 121. He's been restoring Bedfords for many years and also has all the parts.

Thanks, its a 202 red with a C4 trans I think. An axle has snapped and I'm getting priced around 3k to fix the issue which sounds excessive!

Yes, that sounds pretty high.. Be about the same cost to convert to a better diff!
Holden Salisbury ten bolt out of a one tonner is commonly used also.
I believe these guys used to do dual wheel diff stuff, worth a try:
