Title: Beddy's maiden voyage.
Post by: BeerBeddy on April 15, 2017, 02:19:58 PM
Had my first outing in my 70's inpired Beddy after many years of working on it. Went to a charity car display and had my Dodge there too, it normally gets lots of attention but the Beddy seemed to get most of the comments with it all decked out
with period accessories. So much fun at last. Pictures too big for this post so are in my album.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The first run has left me with a bunch of minor adjustments and repairs to attend to but basically goes OK. If interested, its running a bog standard 173 bolted to a Celica 5spd running into an Impala 10 bolt diff. It cruises along pretty easy with that combo.

Not sure about the gallery Noid. Just checked and worked for me.

Thanks Wendy & Ray. It is a mixed feeling of joy and uncertainty. Is everything tight? Did I put all the thingamys back on the whatchmacallit etc. (I've had this feeling a number of times before on other restos too) The best feeling was parking back in the shed in one piece knowing the jobs you have found need doing, aren't too bad. It will be back out for another run soon.

The best thing about a Beddy camper is that if something went wrong, you still have food and a place to sleep!
