Title: bedford project
Post by: Shanash on August 13, 2016, 08:12:21 PM
Hi guys, I have been offered a project and I don't know what it is worth and I was wondering if anyone could help. Vehicle as follows: CF cab chassis,350 corvette engine, turbo 700 box, 9" disc brake rear end, fully engineered and has been registered in Victoria like this. Body needs work, mechanically seems ok. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated, cheers chris

Hi Shanash
Welcome to Buga
so your thinking of taking on a beddy eh?
Its worth it if you love em and happy to do whats needed to get it on the road and keep it on the road,
if you can do the work yourself it will save you heaps of $$

what is it that you need help with????
as the bugas on here are more than happy to offer help and advice
and this forum is filled with heaps of technical info on all sorts of common modifications

word of warning once bitten with the beddy bug its infectious and you never recover ......

so feel free to ask questions...
cheers

Hi Wendy and Ray ,thanks for your reply. I have been offered this project and asked to make an offer on it. As I have not done a beddy before I have no idea as to the value of the vehicle as it stands. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, cheers Chris

Ahhh a rough guess unregistered and needing rust work around 1k -3k
Having a certified V8 conversion and mechanically sound will keep the price up
Rust will bring it down a little depending how much and where the rust is

Hi Shanash
Do the sums as to what it would cost to get  it to that stage, that would be a starting point , deduct for work that's obvious  and offer some back for the previous owner having saved you hours. Bedfords are given away at a fraction of their actual worth  so what ever you offer him is going to be a good deal,If you take advantage of the situation Bedford Karma will get you -Good luck with the build ,keep us up to date with progress
