Title: CF250 Franklin Camper LS1
Post by: Hooter on July 11, 2016, 11:11:44 PM
Hi all you mad Buga's....
We just bought this ole girl, its a 1977 with only 123k on the clock, in really good original condition with 202 and traumatic....
Well, not for long.... its getting a LS1 with 4L60e auto.
It seems quite an easy swap, by using LS1 to HQ Tuff mount engine adaptors, which require no mods or welding brackets, and uses std rear transmission mount.
Also have to cut about 50ml out of each side of floor, and make new engine cover, as well as the rest of the usual conversion work....
The LS1 shown here (hopefully) is in a mates Beddy, and I was surprised how well it fits
I will start a post soon in members rides of the build.

nice score, and the LS motor / gearbox should give it a nice pep up!

look forward to seeing it progress.

Ha ha ... funny you say that Gumbie, as I was going to joke that I only had one leg...
Its not that bad, if you alter the seating to go back a bit further... I have about 3 inches to play with... (actually only 2 at the moment as its freezing here in Perth....) so i just need to modify the slider rails.
