engine mounts for sale perth...
-
no one???????
thanks..
-
I used the cf mounts when i did mine, just cut them down
-
thanks did some resurch as well..might go v8 instead...
-
I reckon the late model V6 has just as much power, if not more than a standard 350 chev, and is lighter
-
i took a template out of the donor commodore to keep the gearbox output shaft square with the diff
-
thanks..............
-
v6 goes better but v8 sounds better..lol
-
Will have to think about the above statement.... :-\
-
my standard CF had the VN V6, exhaust was just 2 cobies and everyone thought it was a V8
-
going v6 now...do I keep the wire loom on the right the one with all the fuses....
-
Use the complete commodore loom, headlights to tail lights, might as well swap the petrol tanks as well and you'll have no problems.
-
bugger only kept the right side with the computer..kept the fuses ...

Hi, don't get rid of anything. Have transplanted vn v6 motor, gearbox, both radiator and air con radiator full wiring harness, brake booster / master cyl, disc brakes, instrument cluster, even fuel tank ,door handles and am working around central locking, aircon, and electric windows and mirrors all from vn donor car. Just needs a little planning but all fits.
-
was told I can get right side from v6 conversions
-
Hi, Does this mean you have already got rid of the donar car, :(
-
YES,,,did you want anything
-
No but its easier to do the transplant if you still had the car. Any bits you need its easy to get off the car than trying to get them from the wreckers.
-
kept everything I need..i hope.
engine.gearbox..tailshaft.diff cross member
radiator hoses.fan.........see how we go
-
When I did the beddie, I had a spare front axle, had the engine on the engine hoist sat in in the position i wanted it, and made the engine mounts up to what I wanted and then had them made up proffessionally fabricated. Took a while but was able to fit the a/con compressor on the same engine mount as original. Had to get a much longer fan belt but it all fits.
-
Used original VN engine mounts and did the same for the gear box mount, had it grafted into the beddie cross member. If it has to be replaced it easy getting a VN one.
-
Now that I have got everything almost everything working have to take it all apart and rebulid it. before then have to try and fit the vn aircon underv the dash, will need some time and thought.
